Gunship Gray is back for select 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycles
If you were a Harley-Davidson fan in 2018, you undoubtedly knew about the Gunship Gray CVO models. The color created such a beautiful contrast to the black/chrome finishes that it immediately became a sought-after color choice. Many riders complimented their love of the color by saying “It always looks wet and fresh…” Even though everyone that wanted the color did get it based on availability, it didn’t stop growing a fan base.
The second wave of Gunship Gray fans began hunting for pre-owned CVO’s in that color. To this day, it is not a color that hangs out on the showroom floor long. Why? Some might say it is the “just-right porridge” by being not too light nor too dark of a gray. Others say they feel it hides dust/light scratches well (a nice feature to have given the pride in cleanliness that so many riders share.) Others will tell you, “It just looks badass…”
Well, new for select 2022 models, Gunship Gray is back, and this time you don’t need to buy a CVO to get it! That’s right… If you’re a Street Glide fan and dreamed of a Gunship Gray FLHXSE but life had other plans, you can now get it on a new FLHXS with your choice of Black or Chrome trim. Shark-nose fans and cruiser riders are in luck as well with the color being found on other models like the Road Glide Special and Iron 883.
Historians believe history has a habit of repeating itself. So, it is fair to expect Gunship Gray to be another go-to color in 2022, with strong potential to have another group of folks missing out and saying “I’ll wait and hunt for a pre-owned.” Only time will tell, but for now we will be enjoy having a great color option that will land on the dream bike for many riders.
