A Classic Reborn: Harley-Davidson unveils the 2024 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide Revival

The Icons Motorcycle Collection Welcomes a Legend Back

In a thunderous celebration reminiscent of the rebellious 1950s, Harley-Davidson proudly unveils the return of a legendary favorite - the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival. This exclusive motorcycle pays homage to the 1956 FLH, a champion of the Panhead era, reintroduced in a limited serialized production of only 1,750 bikes globally.

A Timeless Design, Reimagined

The Hydra-Glide Revival perfectly encapsulates the spirit of its predecessor with its timeless design and iconic "slash" two-tone paint scheme in Redline Red and Birch White. Drawing inspiration from a customized 1956 FLH, the fringed solo seat and saddlebags boast candy-colored rosettes, white seam piping, and red contrast stitching. A detachable two-tone windshield in Redline Red completes the nostalgic aesthetics.

Owning a Piece of History

Each Hydra-Glide Revival proudly features a serialized "Hydra-Glide Revival" emblem on the handlebar riser cap and an exclusive "Icons Motorcycle Collection" graphic on the rear fender, ensuring a sense of exclusivity and collectability.

History of the 1956 Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide

Originally manufactured from 1949 to 1957, the Hydra-Glide marked Harley-Davidson's introduction of a hydraulic telescopic front fork for enhanced comfort. Powered by the iconic Panhead engine, it came in two sizes - a 61ci E model and a larger 74ci FL model, both known for their low-revving power. The 1956 model witnessed upgrades like high-lift cams, a flow-through air cleaner, and a redesigned crankcase, resulting in a remarkable 12% power increase. The iconic red V decal on the oil tank distinguished this year's model, and in 1958, the addition of rear suspension led to the bike's renaming as the Duo-Glide.

Modern Performance, Vintage Soul

While the original 1956 model relied on the 74-cubic-inch Panhead engine, the 2024 revival embraces modern technology. The Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin engine delivers the expected Harley-Davidson power, sound, and feel, all while retaining the classic aesthetic. The welcomed addition of cruise control provides an extra layer of comfort and convenience, a feature absent in the original model.

Breathing Easy with Screamin' Eagle

In keeping with the hotrodder spirit, the standard inclusion of the Screamin' Eagle High-Flow Air Cleaner ensures optimal engine performance by allowing it to breathe freely.

A Modern Twist on a Timeless Classic

The Softail chassis of the Hydra-Glide Revival offers a vintage rigid appearance with its 1-inch lowered, hidden mono-shock suspension. This eliminates the need for an "antique kidney belt" while providing a smoother and more comfortable ride.

A Legacy Endures

More than just a motorcycle, the 2024 Hydra-Glide Revival stands as a tribute to a pivotal era in Harley-Davidson's history.
